The problems with the mismatch of the impedance in the electrical circuit between the pickup and the subsequent equipment in our effects have been completely eliminated, thanks to the use of our Class A Pre-amplifier. Even if the effect is in the OFF position, the input impedance is identical to a high quality tube amplifier.

Input of this device is the universally acclaimed High Impedance, Unity Gain, Class A, Buffer Preamp with it’s superior RFI rejecting capability (to eliminate Radio Station interference) and Low Impedance Audio output, allowing the use of extended cable runs from Brown Sugar pedal in bypass mode.

Battery operation:
MLC Brown Sugar operates on a 9V battery, to replace the battery 8 screws must be
removed from the underside of the device to completely remove the plate.
External Power supply:
MLC effects are also fed externally, through a stabilized direct current 9VDC, thanks to which no battery supply may be needed and equipped with an industry standard 2,1x 5,5mm power supply input. To ensure the best, most stable and deprived of any background hum power supply, we suggest using MLC FX POWER BOX.

JAZZY DRIVE
MLC Jazzy Drive - an overdrive built on the platform of the vintage overdrive, but the modifications give it a new, individual character. Thanks to incorporating and OPA BURR BROWN circuit as well as polypropylene capacitors we reached a perfect ‘tube tone’.
